Sgt. Harrell Dies In Italy

Fairfield. - T/ Sgt/ Russell Harrell, 31, son of Mrs. W. C. Harrell, 902 East Burlington, died April 28 in a hospital in Italy where he had been receiving treatment for malaria. The official message came from the war department to his mother Monday afternoon.

Sgt. Harrell, with the signal corps, had been overseas 31 months and was about to receive a furlough home. He was a graduate of Fairfield high school and Parsons college, class of 1936.

Besides his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Sgt. Kenneth Harrell, with the amphibian forces in the Philippines, and Lt. Wayne Harrell with the air corps, in England; three sisters, Mrs. Raymond Reimenschneider, Princeton, Ill., Mrs. M. D. Peterson, Louisville, Ky., and Mrs. Dick Morehouse of Glidden.
