Frances Penrod Moughler 1872 - 1936

Mrs. Frances Penrod Moughler, daughter of John and Mahala Penrod, was born in Stark County, Ohio, Oct. 11, 1872, and passed away at the home of Frank Clark near Troy, Iowa, July 13, 1936 at the age of 63 years, 9 months and two days.

Frances was the third child in a family of six. When but a small child she moved with her parents to Davis County, Iowa, where she spent her entire life. At the age of sixteen she became a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist church.

On Nov. 17, 1888 she was united in Marriage to Robert N Moughler.
Frances was a devoted wife quiet and sincere, ever thinking of others. Her illness was of short duration and her death came as a shock to the entire community.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother and one brother Joe.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband two brothers. Emanuel of Troy Iowa and sister Irene of Bloomfield, Iowa and Ida of St --- Minn. ------sisters Irene -------- Beach City, Ohio,------
Frank Clark with whom she and her husband have made their home in past several years. besides many friends and relatives.

Funeral rites were held at the Hickory Grove church with Rev. Luther Childs of Centerville preaching the funeral sermon.
Burial was at the Rouch cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Colston, Mrs. Charles Barker and Wayne Jackson, accompanied by Mrs. Downing sang at the services. Pallbearers were Jake Hilpert, Frank ------obit cuts off here.
