Another mother’s darling was taken. Mollie Long, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Long now of Farmington, Iowa was born at Vernon Prairie Iowa Dec. 2nd, 1884.

Last week while on a visit at her uncles Mr. Long’s brother, living near Bonaparte, little Mollie was taken and … dangerously ill with the croup. In spite of all that loving hands and doctors skill could do she grew steadily worse and died in a few house on Oct. 23rd 1888.

We laid her to rest in the Thompson cemetery Oct. 25th thus ended her brief life of 3 years 10 months and 21 days.

Just before she died, though suffering greatly, as if catching a glimpse of the glory wich was soon to surround her…
