Rites For Carl RADTKE

STOCKPORT - Carl W. RADTKE, 90, retired Stockport businessman, died Wednesday morning at St. John's Hospital in Joplin, Mo. He had been seriously ill the past two weeks.

Funeral services will be Satruday at 10 a.m., at the Stockport Christian Church with the Rev. Carl Mast officiating. Interment will be in the Claypool Cemetery at Weaver. The family will receive friends at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday.

RADTKE was born Aug. 6, 1883 in Morrison, Mo., the son of Max and Emelia BUFE RADTKE. He was married to Clara LIDDLE on May 22, 1912. She preceded him in death on Nov. 8, 1962.

He was a blacksmith for over 55 years, coming to Stockport in 1925. He was well known for his cake baking and crocheting, and he was a member of the Stockport Christian Church, Masonic Lodge of Stockport and the IOOF of Weaver. he had made his home in Joplin, Mo., with his son Gurden for the past six years.

Surviving are one daughter and two sons, Mrs. Robert LYTLE of Washington, Richard RADTKE of Albuquerque, N.M., and Gurden RADTKE of Joplin, Mo., five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Alice KUESTER of Weaver and Mrs. Martha WILBERT of Fort Madison.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
