Allie L. Jackson Rites Held At Douds May 27

Allie L. Jackson, 73, died at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 25th, 1948, at the Ottumwa hospital. She was the daughter of J.T. and Tempie Prichard Jackson and was born near Selma in Van Buren county, Iowa, Feb. 10, 1875. Most of her life was spent in the community near Douds. Later she moved to Ottumwa where she lived the last few years.

Miss Jackson is survived by one brother, Frank L. Jackson, and three sisters, Mrs. Hilda Arbaugh and Mrs. Bertha E. Parks all of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Edna V. Phillips of Glendale, Ariz.; two nephews, Charlie C. Jackson, Ottumwa, and Ira Phillips of near Phoenix, Ariz., and two nieces, Mrs. Rebecca Arbaugh Lawson of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Helen Parks Davis of Seattle, Wash. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse A. Jackson, March 28, 1948.

Funeral services were held Thursday at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds in charge of the Rev. J.C. Austin of Keosauqua. Burial was in the Mt. Moriah cemetery.
