Died.
At his home in Anson, Mo., February 24, 1893, Henry Newman, aged 51 years, 3 months and 24 days. He leaves a wife and three children all grown, to mourn his loss. Mrs. Bertha Garres, Anson, Mo., G. T. Newman, Bonaparte, Iowa, Edson Newman, Anson, Mo.
The funeral was conducted Sunday, February 26, by Rev. Boydston, of Eldon, a former pastor, and the remains were interred in the Union cemetery. The funeral was one of the larges ever held in that section of the country over one hundred conveyances being in line.
Mr. Newman had always been in good health, but nine days before his death he was stricken down end everything that medical science could conceive of was tried but without avail; being a stomach trouble an operation was decided upon. He passed through the operation successfully but owing to his weakened condition he succumbed to the inevitable.
