Took Rough on Rats.

Miss Leora Duvall of Keosauqua took her own life Friday afternoon of last week by using rough on rats. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Duvall who live near Keosauqua and was at home at the time.

She lived eight or nine hours after taking the dose. She has recently been an apprentice in the Wormley-Philo Millinery establishment at Keosauqua. The reason for her suicide is not definitely known.

The supposition is that Miss Duval was temporarily insane, she having recently acted peculiarly and had left town without telling her parents of her purpose or destination. Her father followed her to Keokuk and induced her to come home the day before her death.
