Allen Williams Home Destroyed Sunday Afternoon

Mrs. Anna Williams, 46, died at the Davis County Hospital Monday night of burns suffered when her farm home was destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon.

The exact cause of the blaze which completely destroyed the house and furnishings has not been determined. Other members of the Williams family managed to escape from the burning building. However, Mrs. Williams was trapped by the flames. She was removed through a window and rushed to a local hospital.

The Williams home is located in the vicinity of the Rabbit Ridge church northwest of Troy. All of the family belongings, including clothing, were lost, and neighbors have already started preparing temporary living quarters for the remaining members of the family.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, Allen; three daughters, Mrs. Erlen Kline of Fairfield, Mrs. Clarence Townsend of Downing, Mo., and Mrs. Wayne Rippey of Moulton; four sons, Frank of Fairfield, Joe, Richard and Keith, all at home, five sisters, Mrs. Frank Spellman of Selma, Mrs. D. K. Nedrow of Selma, Mrs. J. V. Snelling of Douds, Mrs. Patton Miller of Milton and Mrs. R. S. Kipling of Ottumwa; four brothers, C. F. Cudworth of Mobile, Ala., Otis Cudworth of Batavia, George Cudworth of Eldon and A. J. Cudworth of Batavia.

The body is at the Wagler Funeral Home pending completion of funeral arrangements.
