Silas S. Fowler of Keosauqua Dies

Final Rites Held Sunday at Center Chapel, Survived by Brother and Sister

Silas S. Fowler, 77 years old and a resident of Keosauqua 46 years, died about 10 o’clock Saturday morning at the home of Mrs. Edith Essex in Keosauqua.

Mr. Fowler was born in Noble county, Ohio, and came to Iowa with his parents when he was three years old. He spent some time at Grinnell and at Kirksville, Mo., and engaged in the grocery and ice business.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 o’clock at Center Chapel and burial was at Center Chapel cemetery.

Mr. Fowler, who was not married, is survived by a brother L.V. Fowler of Keosauqua, a sister Mrs. Wilda...[NOTE: The rest of the obituary is too blurry to transcribe with accuracy.] … and several nephews and nieces.
