BIRMINGHAM -- Mildred L. Bonnett, 58, died this morning at Van Buren Good Samaritan Home in Keosauqua where she had been a patient since November, 1972.
She was born August 24, 1916, near Birmingham, the daughter of Sale and Hazel Hootman Bonnett, both of whom are patients in the Good Samaritan Home in Keosauqua.
Survivors include two sisters: Mrs. Fred (Beryl) Brown of Birmingham and Mrs. Myrl (Birdie) Leavitt of Washington, Iowa; one niece and three nephews.
Miss Bonnett was employed by the telephone company in Fairfield for 22 years until her retirement in 1969 when her health failed.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fairfield, Rebecah Lodge 386, Pythian Sisters of Fairfield and Royal Neighbor Lodge.
The body is at Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham where arrangements are pending. The casket will remain closed.
