Francis KERR dies at 84

Francis Pearl KERR, 84, Parkview Care Center, died there at 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Visitation will be at 7 p.m. tonight (Monday) at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donald Hickman officiating. Burial will be at Pittsburg Cemetery.

Mrs. KERR was born April 14, 1898, in Van Buren. She was the daughter of Charles and Mina KIMMEL. On Oct. 30, 1918, she married Glen KERR at Ottumwa. He died in 1958.

Mrs. KERR had lived in Fairfield since 1969.

Survivors include: sons Kenneth, Keosauqua, and Dale, Fairfield; a daughter , Esther KERR, Reno, Nevada; brothers Kenneth and Fred HOOTMAN, both of Fairfield; sisters Georgia BAGBY of Fairfield and Myrtle FRANCE of Ollie; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. KERR and her husband farmed between Keosauqua and Douds and later lived at Libertyville and Milton. She was a longtime member of the Methodist Church.
