Lifetime Resident Dies At Cantril
Services Sunday At Methodist Church; Survived By Two Daughters, Seven Grandchildren.
Funeral services for Alma Work, 81, were held at the Cantril Methodist church Sunday afternoon in charge of the Rev. Jay Waterman. Burial was at the Cantril Cemetery. Mrs. Work was the daughter of R. N. And Charity McLeland and was born near Cantril on August 12, 1862. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clay McManis, May 11. She had spent her entire life near Cantril. She was united in marriage January 8, 1885 with Wilson Work who preceded her in death on February 19, 1924. To this union were born two daughters, Mrs. Roy Swank of Memphis, Mo. and Mrs. Carl McManis.
Surviving are her two daughters, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
