Paul Brown Dies at 44
Cantril Farmer Succumbs Following Operation. Leaves Wife, Children, Grandchildren

Paul S. Brown of Cantril died at the Ottumwa hospital in Ottumwa Friday following an appendix operation a few weeks ago.

Mr. Brown, who was 44 years old, was born at Lebanon, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Brown. He was married to Miss Florence Kreiss in June, 1918.

Surviving are his wife; two children, Dale S. at home and Mrs. Lois Lorraine McDowell of Ottumwa; two grandchildren, three brothers and six sisters.

Funeral services were conducted at the Lebanon Methodist church at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon by the Rev. C. H. Orf of Keosauqua and the Rev. Jay Waterman of Cantril. Music was Mr. and Mrs. Keith Gaston of Keosauqua.

Burial was at the Lebanon cemetery. The bearers were Clair Muir, Howard Shipley, Monte McQuoid, Herbert Megrath, Stanley Hoskin and R. F. Hesler.
