Dr. H. E. Bowman of Farmington Passed Away Monday Evening

Dr. H. E. Bowman of Farmington, one of the prominent residents of this county, died Monday evening at 6:30, after a long illness. Dr. Bowman was born in Lowdon county, Va., near Alexandria, Aug. 17, 1818. He attended school at Marrietta, Ohio, and graduated from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1839. He was the father of Mr. Geo. A. Bowman of Mt. Sterling and Mrs. Jas. W. Lapsley of Farmington and Mr. W. H. Bowman of Keokuk and Mrs. E. E. French of Chicago. The funeral was held yesterday at 10 a.m. We hope to have a more extended sketch of Dr. Bowman next week.
