Rose M. Osing

Rose Marie Osing, daughter of Charles and Bertha Rhoden Pflanz, was born Sept. 13, 1897 at Little York, Ill. and died the afternoon of Thursday, Nov. 10, 1988 at Davis County Hospital, Bloomfield at the age of 91.

She lived in Illinois, Scotland County and Kansas City, Mo., and moved to Milton in 1976. She had resided at Bloomfield Care Center the past three years. Mrs. Osing was a homemaker and attended the Milton Christian Church. She married August H. Osing Oct. 18, 1922 in Ottumwa. Mr. Osing died in 1986. Two brothers and a sister also preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son, Charles of Ottumwa, two daughters, Maxine Thomas of Milton and Madeline Craff, East Moline, Ill., 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren 2 great great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchlldren. Also surviving are a brother, Walter Pflanz, Woodland, California, a sister, Clara Robinson, Cantril, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 12,1988 at 1:30 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with Pastor Ed Pool officiating. Interment was in Sunnyside Cemetery, Milton. Memorials were established for the Milton Christian Church and the Milton Fire Department.
