HUFFMAN-At Bonaparte, Friday evening, Sept 8, Mrs. Catharine, wife of George Huffman, aged 64 years.

Mrs. Huffman, whose maiden name was Voorhies, was born in New Jersey, April 10, 1812. She was married to George Huffman at Lafayette, Ind., in 1832 with whom she lived happily for 44 years. In 1843, she came with him to Farmington, Iowa, where they remained one year, when they removed to Bonaparte where they have since resided. She professed religion with the Methodist achurch. Twelve years ago she changed her relations to the Baptist church, of which, when in health, she was an active member. Six children preceded he to the spirit land, four of them dying at Bonaparte. For the last three and a half years she had been a constant sufferer from dyspesia. She had many warm friends and was woman noted for her motherly kindness to sick and suffering. P.
