OBITUARY
MRS. ELLA ABERNATHY

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Abernathy, who died March 3 at the home of her grandson, Harley Abernathy, at Milton, were held at the Cantril Methodist church Thursday afternoon. The Rev. A. M. Hadley of Cantril was in charge and was assisted by the pastor, the Rev. F. M. James.

Singing at the services was by Mrs. F. M. James and Mrs. Paul Norris, with Mrs. Nettie James at the piano. Burial was at the Cantril cemetery, the bearers being the four sons and two grandsons, Harley Abernathy and Simeon Stott.

Mrs. Abernathy, who was 82 years old, was born at Athens, Mo. When a young woman she was united in marriage with Joseph Kissling [sic] and to the union, one sons, Frank was born. Mr. Kisling [sic] died in 1875. Several years later she married Edgar Abernathy, and to this union were born five children, John Abernathy of Stockport, and Lee Abernathy, Ora Abernathy, Otto Abernathy and Mrs. Lulu Stott of Cantril. Mrs. Abernathy also is survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
