MRS. JANE M. HARBIDGE

Jane M. Penn Harbidge was born in Scotland county, Mo., Jan. 31, 1844. She passed away at the home of her son, W. L. Harbidge in Memphis, August 17, 1926, at 5 p. m., being at the time of her death 82 years, 6 months and 17 days of age.

She was united in marriage to J. W. Harbidge Nov. 15, 1860. There were born to this union five sons and one daughter, the late William H., Thomas M., John E., James F., and Louella M., deceased. She leaves to mourn her death one son, W. L. Harbidge of Memphis and three grandchildren, W. B. of Cantril, G. F. of Keosauqua and Miss E. M. Harbidge of Memphis, and seven great grandchildren.

She united with the Christian church at Lawn Ridge, Scotland county, in July, 1878, and was a devout believer ever after. In later years she united with the Christian church in Cantril. She fought a good fight, she kept the faith, and there is a crown awaiting her.

Mrs. Harbidge was a woman that loved her home, a woman of industry and good business judgment. She was an accomodating neighbor; her family and her home was the ideal of her life.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. K. Green at Lawn Ridge in the presence of relatives and friends. The floral offerings, which always speak so much for love and friendship were in great profusion. The body was laid to rest in the Lawn Ridge cemetery.
