Mrs. Kate Wilson Bell
Kate Florence Wilson was born December 9, 1864, in Bonaparte, Iowa, and lived all of her life until August , 1908, when she and family moved to Keokuk where she lived until June of this year when she came to Bonaparte to visit her father and sister and stayed until her death at 10:15 A. M. Friday.
She married Ralph D. Bell August 6, 1882, and to this union two daughters and a son were born, the son dying in infancy. Her husband died Dec. 26, 1893.
She was not a member of any church but was converted while in the hospital last spring when she underwent an operation from which she never really recovered.
She leaves to mourn their loss, besides a host of friends, the following relatives: -- Her two daughters, Misses Lenna and Lottie of Keokuk, her aged father, Wm. C. Wilson, two sisters, Mrs. Alice Meredith and Mrs. Robert Sanders of Bonaparte; and three brothers, William and Frank of Keokuk, and Walter of Lacon, Ill.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Sunday afternoon with Rev. Smith officiating and the remains were interred in the Bonaparte cemetery.
