Edith Pearl, fifth child of John and Elizabeth Kritzman was born near Milton, Ia, Nov. 10,1905 and departed this life at the family home, Aug. 22,1942, after five months of patient suffering with a heart ailment with which she ahd been afflicted with a number of years. She received her education in the rural schools, Milton high school and Bloomfield Normal school with the ambition to become a school teacher, altho her health would not permit her to finish this course. She was always a willing and faithful helper in the family home. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jan. 17,1918 and her father Feb.6,1935 and is survived by two brothers and four sisters, namely; Wallace J. and Elmer E. of Ottumwa, Hannah M. of Quincy, Il Mrs. Ed Shobe of Milton, Alma of Washington D.C., and Clara E. of Milton; one nephew and six nieces and other relatives and friends. Edith will be greatly missed by her sisters and brothers.Funeral services were held in the Lebanon Methodist Church on Monday afternoon. Burial was in Lebanon cemetery.
