Mary Jane Holmes,75, Bonaparte, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the Hainline Rest Home, Bonaparte. She was born Sept. 10,1892, in Bonaparte, the daughter of Thomas and Corabelle Parsons Gibbs. She married Clarence Holmes in June 1912. He died in 1964. Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Elsie Cramblit, Mra. Kathryn Clavin, Mrs. Lucille Bailey, and Mrs. Alice Brockett all of Ft. Madison, Mrs. Helen Koetters of Ft. Collins, Co, Mrs. Ethel Britton of Colorado Springs, Co and Mrs. Margie West of Kansas City,Ks; two sisters, Bertha Parker of Bonaparte and Sadie Hudson of Aledo, Il; a brother Sam;21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Church of Nazerene, Ft. Madison with burial in Oakland Cemetery.
