KEOSAUQUA- Helen D. Hervey, 65, of Keosauqua died of cancer July 7, 1983, in Van Buren County Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 25, 1979 at Donnellson to Otto and Abigail Schowalter Krebill. She graduated from Donnellson High School, attneded Iowa Weslyan College and taught school. She married Robert Hervey April 19, 1936, at Keosauqua. They farmed in the Center Chapel community south of Keosauqua. He died in 1978. She had recently lived at Country Lanes Apartments in Keosauqua.
She was a member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and a volunteer worker in the Happy Day Express Pre-School. She was coordinator of the Keosauqua Neighborhood Center for a number of years and was emplyed at Van Buren Samaritan Center uintil her last illness.
Surviviors; a son, Roger of Galena, Il.; daughters Roberta Leuck of North Manchester, Ind., Marilyn Wiley of Keosauqua, and Sharon Clark of Forest Lake, Minn; fourteen granchildren and one great-grandson; and brothers Marvin Krebill of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Dwight Krebill of Donnellson. One son, Hollis Hervey, prceeded her in death. Services at United Methodist Church, Keosauqua, Revs. Louise Spears and Louise Knupp officiating. Burial in Center Chapel Cemetery.
