Walter Martin.

Walter Martin, formerly of Hedrick, Iowa, was instantly killed at the works of the Inter State Contracting Co. Wednesday, June 26, 1912, while unloading a car of marble slate.

He was born in Hedrick, Iowa, July 30, 1887, where he lived until almost twelve years of age. The remaining part of his life was spent in around East St. Louis.

He was married to Ada Bailey Sept. 9, 1910, and to this union one child was born, Robert Leroy now aged 10 months. He leaves to mourn their loss his wife and son; his father, C.F. Martin, of Bonaparte, Iowa; and two sisters, Mrs. Veron Sills? of Shelbyville, Ill., and Mrs. Clyde S*emple of Ft. Madison, Iowa. Also a host of friends and other relatives.

The funeral was held from the residence at 1836 Cleveland Ave., E. St. Louis, Friday, June 28, conducted by the W.O.W. of which he was a member, with interment at Mt. Hope cemetery.
