N.C. Hull, son of D. L. and Emma Hull, was born south of Cantril Feb. 10, 1918, and departed from this life Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1936, at the age of 18 years, 9 months and 20 days.
On Monday, while sawing wood at a neighbor’s, he was kicked by a mule. He was rushed to the St. Joseph’s hospital at Ottumwa where everything that loving hands could do, was done, but all in vain. He passed away at 8:45 Tuesday evening.
He leaves to mourn his loss his mother, one brother, Louie, of Milton, IA and 5 sisters: Mrs. Margaret Cassatt, LaHarpe, IL; Mrs. Bernice Garmon, Davenport, IA; Irene, Vada and Lola at home; one niece and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters.
N.C. has spent his entire life at home with his parents on their farm north of Milton. He was an honest, upright young man. To know him was to love him, as everyone did. He will be greatly missed especially by his mother and immediate family, and also by his relatives and friends.
N.C. has been his mother’s comfort since his father’s death a short time ago.
No word can express the esteem of friendship for N.C. by his friends, both old and young.
