William Albert Kerr was born Feb. 10,1875, at Bible Grove, Mo. and passed away July 31,1955, the the Memorial hospital in Keosauqua, where he had been a patient for several months following a stroke. he was the son of Martha and Robert Kerr. He ahd two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Plowman, who preceded him in death and Mrs. Edith Finley, who lives in Fairfield. June 6,1925, he was united in marriage to Julia Brown. Bert had been a resident of Douds most of his life. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Julia, of Douds, a stepson Floyd Brown and family of Los Angeles, Ca; a stepdaughter, Freda, of Keosauqua, also nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Aug. 4, at the Pedrick funeral Home. Interment was in the Leando cemetery.
