OBITUARY
IDA BOYDIda Boyd, daughter of William and Dora McIntosh, was born August 19, 1887, in Memphis, Mo., and
passed away April 25, 1976, in the Scotland County Memorial Nursing Home. She was 88 years, 8 months, and 6 days of age.She was united in marriage to George Boyd, December 18, 1904, in Cantril, Iowa, and to this union four children were born.
Surviving are two sons, Howard of Davenport, Iowa, Hollis of Memphis; one daughter, Mrs. Glen
(Flossie) McGee of Memphis; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a
sister, Mrs. Dorothy Regur; a brother, Wyatt McIntosh, both of Keosauqua, Iowa.She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a daughter, three brothers and one sister, and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Boyd was a member of the Christian Church of Cantril, Iowa.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 28, at 1:30 P. M. in the Gerth & Baskett Chapel,
Memphis, Mo. The Rev. Kenneth Campbell officiated, [sic] Burial was in the Maple Grove Cemetery at Cantril.(A photocopy of this obit is located in Obit Book 2 (1975-1980) found in the Van Buren County, IA
Genealogical Society's collection at the Keosauqua Public Library in July 1999. Handwritten on the obit is "V.B. Register 06 May 1976.")I would like to correspond with anyone that has Ida McIntosh Boyd in their family tree.
