BURNS FATAL TO WOMAN, 89
(The Register's Iowa News Service)MOUNT STERLING, IA. - Mrs. Olive Wolf, 89, died late Saturday evening of burns suffered when
her clothing caught fire while she was preparing a meal.She was cooking lunch Saturday when the clothing caught fire. She lived alone and her son-in-law Willie Wolf, noticed her only after she ran from her home with her clothes ablaze.
After being given emergency treatment at a Keosauqua hospital, she was taken to University Hospitals [sic] in Iowa City where she died.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Mt. Sterling Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, 12 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
