MRS. MELISSA HARWOOD

KEOSAUQUA.--Mrs. Melissa Harwood, 97, died about 3 p.m. Thursday at the Masonic Sanatorium at Bettendorf, where she had been a patient the past year.

A daughter of Eliab [sic] and Mary Jane Whitten Doud she was born at Douds April 14, 1867.

She was married to James W. Harwood, a long-time attorney in Keosauqua. He preceded her in death more than 30 years ago.

Survivors include a son, Rollo J. Harwood of Texarkana, Tex.

The service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Keosauqua Methodist Church with the Rev. E. S. Teschetter officiating.

Burial will be in the Purdom Cemetery at Keosauqua.

The body is at the Burnett-Catcott Funeral Home.
