OBITUARY OF MRS. FLORA BEER
-----------------
Flora Holiday was born in Van Buren county, Iowa, near Hillsboro, July 1, 1864, and passed away at her home in Keosauqua, Io., September 10, 1921, at the age of 57 years, 2 months and 9 days. Dec. 2, 1891, she was married to F. L. Beer, and to this union were born two sons--Glen and Clyde. Mr. Beer preceded his wife in death about 20 years, his death accuring [sic] in November, 1901. She was also bereaved in the death of her son Clyde, who was a World War hen and gave his life as a sacrifice on the altar of his country. He was killed in action Sept. 18, 191[?-can't read]. Those who survive are her son Glen, two brothers, Aaron of Keosauqua and Harvey of Hygiene, Colo., also other relatives and friends. A number of years ago Mrs. Beer confessed faith in Christ as her Lord, and was baptised, thus becoming his disciple. She made her home in Keosauqua and vicinity most all her life, and was well known and loved by all who knew her. She was a member of the Relief Corps, of the Rebekah Lodge, also an honored member of the Ladies' Relief Corps of the American Legion, Clyde Beer [cont'd in next column-cut off]

We wish to thank our good neighbors and friends for their kindness and sympathy in our great
bereavement.
