DIED

At the residence of her aunt, Mrs. Emma McBridge, near Vienna, Maryland, on Saturday night, July 20, 1878, Josephine wife of Mr. G. W. Entler, of this place aged 22 years.

Death is always accompanied by sadness but it comes sometimes to carry sadness not alone to the family or more intimate friends of a person, but to a whole community. Last Saturday the sad and unexpected intelligence of the sudden death of the subject of the above notice reached this place, casting a shadow of gloom over the entire community.

Mrs. Entler was the daughter of our esteemed and highly respected townspeople, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. L. Hall. She was born at Keosauqua, April 15, 1856, and removed to this place with her parents when a mere girl, and had resided here since. She was well known and had won friends and aquaintances. On the 14th of February, last, she was married to her surviving husband, and about the 18th of April following, in companuy with her mother, went on a visit to relatives near Vienna, Maryland, where she was taken sick and died. Her husband received word of her illness a few days before she died and started for her bedside, but ere he reached there she had passed away and had been laid rest in the silent grave. Her sorrowful and bereft friends have the heart-felt sympathy of the entire community.
