Hazelle J. Watts, 96, of Louisville, Kentucky, died Saturday, July 12, 1997 at Wesley Manor Nursing Home in Louisville.

She was born February 18, 1901 at Bonaparte to Marshall J. and Floy Stewart Smith. She married Robert Earl Watts September 22, 1922. He died May 17, 1981.

She had lived many years in Louisville.
Surviving are a niece, Ava Jean Downard of Keosauqua and a nephew, John Williamson of Denver, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Marshall Watts and Billie Eugene Watts.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 1997 in Bonaparte Cemetery. Rev. Harlan Winter officiating.

Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
