Elanora Amelia Entler was born May 17, 1821 at Hanover, York county, Penn. and died at Bonaparte, Iowa, July 19, 1904, having reached the age of 83 years, 2 months and 2 days.

On August 1, 1839 she was married to Jacob Bear, the German Reformed minister, and after four years or in 1843 they came to Iowa. On the 21 day of February, 1855, death entered their home taking away Mr. Bear at the age of 44 years.

On the 26 day of February, 1857 she was she united in marriage to Philip Kimple, then residing on the farm and after 17 years of peace fall wife death again entered the home and on the 18th of March, 1874, Mr. Kimple died at the age of 81 years. Not long after this Mrs. Kimple removed to Bonaparte where the balance of her life was spent.

Mrs. Kimple united with the church when a young girl and has always been true to her Master. Whatever her hands found to do she did it. She was an active worker in the church, in trying to advance God's cause here on earth and she greatly enjoyed the divine service. She was a devout Christian, always ready to give a reason for the hope she had within her and in speaking to a caller one day upon the subject of death, she said that she was ready to go and that she hoped she would not have a lingering spell of sickness for she did not want to be a burden to anyone.

She was confined to her bed for about 10 weeks, this being the first illness she had ever experienced. She became unconscious toward the last and then quietly passed away.

There were two brothers and one sister in her father's family. One brother, William W. Entler is deceased; the other, Mr. Jacob Eich resides in this city and the sister, Mrs. A. C. Young who resides in White Hall, Ill.. These with many relatives and friends mourn her departure.

The funeral services were held from the M. E. church Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Jones officiating. The body was atteded [sic] to the grave by Messrs. W. E. Smith, Jesse Meredith, J. W. Fitzgerald, Benj. Ketcham, W. P. L. Muir and Robt. Cresap.

The floral offerings were many and beautiful.
