The following we clip from the State Line Democrat:
Mr. Bazil Boyer of Farmington died at the county asylum Thursday of last week. He had been gradually failing for some time. Three days before his death pneumonia developed, and the end came at 10 a.m. Thursday. Mrs. Boyer and a son, Geo. F. Boyer, had been with him and were at his bedside when his tired worn-out body sank to rest. Dr. Craig, Steward Corwin and wife and devoted friends did everything possible for the sick man, but at his age it was impossible for him to withstand an attack of pneumonia.
Undertaker Evans of this place was called, and a beautiful casket was provided and the remains sent to Farmington, where the funeral services and burial took place Saturday.
Several years ago Mr. Boyer's mind gave way, and Oct. 5, 1901, he was taken to the county hospital. He never spoke after arriving there, and had not spoken, we understand, for about two years previously.
In 1856 Mr. Boyer was married to Miss Margaret Overhulser, who was born in Darke county, Ohio, May 20, 1838, and raised a respected, intelligent family of three sons and two daughters, who have now arrived at middle age.
Mr. Boyer was a steady, upright man and was respected by all who knew him. For thirty years or more he was one of the most prominent men in the southeastern part of the county.
