DIES AT AGE 96

Ebenezer Williamson, age 96, died last Wednesday at his home in Eldon, being the last civil war veteran of Eldon vicinity. He was born in Ohio in 1841, and served in the Fifty-first Ohio volunteers.

He came to Iowa with his parents, was married to Cynthia Welpton in Lee County in 1864, and engaged in the harness business at Primrose. He sold out and bought a farm on which they lived until 1903, when they moved to Eldon, which has since been the family home.
