Lucien W Harryman, 92 died Friday Feb.29,2008, at Burena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior United Methodist Church in Manson with Rev. Reg Merrill officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Manson. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 until 7 p.m. at Larson-Weishaar Funeral Home in Manson.

Lucien Harryman was born on Sept. 15,1915 near Douds-Leando in Van Buren County, Iowa, the son of Francis Slater and Lucy Amnie (Brewster) Harryman. He graduated from Douds High School and then from Iowa State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. During his time in College he met Lorna May Westphal. They were united in marriage June 21, 1940 and enjoyed 56 years together until her death on Sept. 13, 1996. Lucien was a County 4-H Club agent in Grundy County from 1938 until he came to the farm near Manson in 1942. Lucien was able to continue farming until he was 80 years old in 1996.
He is survived by his children Marcia (Bill) Rameker of Madison,WI.; Duane Harryman of Manson; Barbara Bill)Fulcher of Alta; grandchildren Deborah Patrick)Shipman, Matthew (Melissa) Rameker, Michael (Christine) Rameker, Kristen (David) Heupel, Bret (Kristal) Fulcher, Curtis Fulcher, Andrea Fulcher; great grandchildren Emily, Aubrey, Katrina and Natalie Huepel, Tucher Shipman, and Cale Fulcher; one brother Harold Harryman of Douds, IA; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lorna Harryman; brothers Dewey, Harvey, Joseph, and sisters Lottie Ruth Harryman, Esther Moore, Mary Loveless abd Josephine Horn Lewis.
