John Henry Clark was born in Accasto, Clark Co., Mo., May 20, 1872. He departed this life at his home in Bonaparte, Iowa, Feb. 19, 1897, at the age of 24 years and 9 months.

Feb. 14, 1894, he was married to Miss Lulu House, who with one child, survives him. His mother, one brother and three sisters also mourn his loss.

Deceased moved to Bonaparte with his parents when he was quite young and resided here the remainder of his life. He was known as a quiet, industrious young man of good habits, and his early death is a sad blow to the young wife and child and to his aged mother, all of whom have the sympathy of the community.

The funeral services were conducted at the residence, Sabbath afternoon Feb. 21, by the Rev. W. H. Scofield, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Bonaparte cemetery.
