Clinton Mize, 59-year-old farmer of the Vernon Prairie neighborhood, near Keosauqua, died in Mercy Hospital, March 19 at 1:30 p.m. He had been seriously ill for several months and had been hospitalized about one month. A life resident of Van Buren County, Mize was the son of Lewis and Nannie Fowler Mize, and was born September 15, 1890. He is survived by his wife, the former Willa Hales; a son, Dale Mize, at home, and a brother and two sisters: Lawrence Mize of Des Moines; Alice Mize of Bonaparte, and Mrs. John Eager of Kenaston, Saskatchewan, Canada. The body is at the Burnett-Catcott funeral home.
