Josephine B Turner,75 of Farmington passed away at 12:32am on Tuesday January 8,2008 at the Great River Medical Center in Burlington,
Born July 20,1932 at Trenton, Iowa on her parents farm, she was the daughter of Charles and Mabel Norton Manning. On December 20,1956 she married Gerald Turner in Keosauqua, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband Gerald of Farmington,one son Ronnie (Ruth Ann) of Farmington, one brother Rex (Mattie Lou) Manning of Bonaparte,one grandson, one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Jessie,four brothers Wade Lee, Walter, Donald and Clifford and one son Kenneth.
Josephine was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother,greatgrandmother, sister and friend. She was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ, a proud homemaker and mother of two sons,grandmother of one grandson and one greatgranddaughter. Josephine was a very strong woman who eagerly helped in the fields on the farm. She loved crocheting,fishing and the ocean,canning,music,gardening and flowers,playing cards and most of all her husband and being with and caring for her family especially her grandchildren.
Friendsd may call after 1pm on Thursday January 10 at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home and Crematory in Farmington with family and friends meeting from 5-7pm that evening. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Friday January 11 at the New Hope Assembly of God Church in Farmington with the Pastor Larry Wallingford officiating.
Burial will be at the Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington Iowa.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
