Died, at her residence in Harrisburg township, July 3, Mrs. Hannah Henry, aged 71 years, 11 months and eight days. Mother Henry’s maiden name was Chaney. She was born in Harrison county, Ohio July 25th, 1822. At the age of twenty she was united in marriage to Thomas Henry. By this marriage, which was not broken until his death May 16, 1890, she became the mother of thirteen children, twelve sons and one daughter. Six sons and the one daughter have preceded her in death. Her remaining six sons were all present at her funeral except one who lives in Creston? for some reason could not be there. In 1850, she with her husband, moved to Van Buren county, Iowa; and have until their deaths resided in this county, having lived on their present home stead for 39? years. At the time of her marriage she was a member of the Methodist church, shortly she and her husband joined the United Brethren church. In 1864 she with her husband withdrew from that church and united with the Christian church and continued with that church until her death. Her funeral occurred July 5, and was attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends. The remains were buried at the Dibble cemetery. Sermon by Rev. Philips a minister of the Christian church near Fairfield.
