Addie May Lindsay
Addie May Lindsay was born May 4, 1885 in Custer County, Nebraska and passed away June 20 while visiting in the home of a daughter in Portland, Oregon.
She was the oldest of four daughters and a son born to J.P. and Belle Simmons Lindsay and the first to be taken.
In 1902 she was married to Leslie B. Johnson and was the mother of seven children, six of whom survive, a son Paul, having drowned in 1929.
The children are Florence G. Darling in whose home she passed away, Leslie C. of Petaluma, Calif., John L. of Burlington, Joseph E. of Farmington, Mary M. Lowe and William B. Johnson of Bonaparte.
Her brother Alva R. Lindsay lives in Plainview, Texas, a sister, Mrs. Maggie Vannoy in Kearny, Nebr., Dessie Stevens in Wichita, Kansas, Bertha Branderberg (sic) (Brandenburg) in Lexington, Nebr.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and one great grand-daughter.

Mrs. Mae Johnson of Bonaparte passed away early Friday morning June 21 at Portland, Oregon. A few weeks ago she went to visit her daughter, Florence Darling at Portland. She suffered a heart attack last week and was taken to a hospital. On Thursday, she again had a heart attach causing her death.
Funeral services were to be held Wednesday, June 26 at 2 p.m. at Assembly of God church in Farmington with burial at the Bonaparte cemetery.

The July 4 issue of the Record had the same obit as the Tri-County News obit above but listed her as Addie May Johnson.
My mother said her given name was Addie Mae but later in life she went by Addie May. - RL
