William E. Hull of Cantril, age 84, passed away Thursday evening, November 29, 1979, at the Burlington Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

He was born August 25, 1895 in Van Buren County, the son of John and Laura Hull. He was married April 29, 1917 to Alta B. Clark. She preceded him in death in September of 1969.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Laura Newman of Burlington, IA; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alta, one son, C. E. (Jim) Hull, parents, one brother, Leo, and one sister, Mamie.

He spent his life in the Cantril area as a farmer and grain buyer.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 2, 1979 at 2 p.m. at the Cantril Christian Church with Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Interment was in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril.

Memorials to the Cantril Christian Church or the Cancer Society may be left at the Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham.
