Chester L. Hills
Chester Leroy Hills, Burlington, Rt. 2, died Christmas day in Memorial hospital, Mercy Unit.
Mr. Hills was a native of Selma and was born Nov. 1, 1900, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hills. He was married to Eva Smith Case at Galesburg, Ill., on May 30, 1935.
Mr. Hills retired from the trucking business. He was a member of Sunnyside Baptist church.
Surviving: The wife; daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Shipley, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Marcidell Spearman, West Burlington, and Mrs. Melbaline Hostetter of Burlington; stepson, Robert Case of Burlington; step-daughter, Margaret Case of Mt. Pleasant; 17 grandchildren; three great grandchildren, and brothers wnd sisters, Albert and Randall Hills and Mrs. Mary Arledge and Mrs. Florence Glattfelder, all of Burlington.
Services: Sheagren funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. John M. Falconer, Memorial Park Cemetery.
