Benjamin Ketcham - Died at Bonaparte April 25, 1911, age 81 years, 4 months, 6 days. Born Allegheny Co., PA December 19, 1829. Until 1855 with parents. He came to IA in 1856 to Bonaparte Twp. In 1890 owned 1,000 acres. Enlisted 13th IA Inf. Married October 27, 1863 to Miss Mary Lightfoot who, along with 6 children, survive. Alice died when 8 years old. Living are: Mrs. Murray Taylor; Joel; Mrs. W. B. Seeley; George; Frank and Clay. F-Bonaparte Cemetery, Bonaparte.
