Mrs. Eliza Monroe Coolidge - Born London, England on August 20, 1856. Came to America when 2 years old. In Bonaparte on March 10, 1874 married Orlando Judd Coolidge. Five children; four of whom survive: Mrs. Minnie Alice Miller of Chicago; Edmund Glenn of Des Moines; Mrs. Blanche Anne Vass of Valley Junction and Ivan Donald of Des Moines. Oscar, the oldest child, died in infancy. She died November 8, 1913, age 57 years, 2 months, 19 days. Husband died 3 years ago on November 21, 1910. Later went to Des Moines to live with children. Four grandchildren, 2 sisters: Mrs. Felix Sappington of Anson, MO and Mrs. Jennie Sturdivant of San Diego, CA; 2 brothers: John Monroe of New Orleans, and Alex Monroe of Carlton, MN. Buried in Bonaparte. John Detwiler of Des Moines; Mrs. Henry Vass and Mrs. J. D. Nicklin of Eldon, sisters of Frank Vass attended services. F-Bonaparte Cemetery, Bonaparte.
