Benjamin Elieb Mitchell - Seventh son of John & Mary Mitchell was born near Bonaparte on July 27, 1841 and died August 20, 1908, age 67 years, 24 days. Married on February 14, 1867 to Miss Catherine Bly. Two children: Bennie G. and Wm. E. The former died at age 10 years. In the sixties went to CA and returned via Panama, NY and the old home of his parents in the East. Leaves wife, his son, Wm., and family; also 3 brothers: George U. Mitchell, Bonaparte; Joseph E. Mitchell of Covington, KY; Calvin E. Mitchell of Boise City, ID; and 2 sisters: Mrs. Mary J. Weaver and Mrs. Emma B. Seward, both of Bentonsport. F-Bonaparte Cemetery, Bonaparte.
