Milo B. Maltbie - Came to Keosauqua in 1867. Lived there 40 years. Died August 15, 1907 aged 71 years, 2 months, 18 days. Born Mainville, Warren Co., OH May 27, 1836. Married Martha E. Cleland in OH. Three children, one died in infancy: John A. Maltbie, merchant in Keosauqua; and Mrs. Emma Dodson of Washington, IA. Wife and mother died July 22, 1864. Enlisted Co. C, 54th OH Inf and discharged October 11, 1861. On September 15, 1864 after death of wife two months before, enlisted in 175th OH Inf and served until close of War. Discharged July 3, 1864. Married Ruth M. Fisher December 13, 1865 who survives. No children to this union. F-Fellows Cemetery, Keosauqua.
