Samuel Work Rankin - Born near Connellsville, Fayette Co., PA on February 24, 1836. When young man moved to Hendrysboro, OH where he married Miss Sarah Ball in 1862. Three sons: Robert E.; James W.; and Leslie C. who are left with the mother and 3 grandchildren. Moved with family to IA November 1884. Died April 23, 1906, age 70 years, 29 days. F-Thompson Cemetery, Bonaparte.nellson Public Library, Donnellson, IA.
