Mrs. Catharine Askren Lagle - Born November 20, 1829 in KY, died January 29, 1905 at home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Grubbs at Leando, IA. Married to Jas. A. Lagle March 4, 1849. Eight children, 4 boys, 4 girls. Three boys and 2 girls with the husband preceded her. She was 75 years, 2 months, 9 days. Left to mourn is one son, Henry Lagle, 2 daughters: Mrs. S. N. Askren and Mrs. Henry Grubbs; 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
