Mrs. Nancy Godfrey Ware - Born Hardy Co., WV on Mar 23, 1819. Moved with parents to Ohio 1823. She was one of 12 children. Married Wm. Ware September 15, 1839 and moved to Bonaparte in 1842. In 1853 they moved to farm north of town. Six children, 2 died in infancy and two in after years. Two children: Minor Ware of this place and Mrs. Hugh Bell of Troy, IA; one brother; four sisters; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Husband died August 26, 1865. She died March 13, 1904 age 84 years, 11 months, 20 days.
