Mrs. Isabelle Osborn Burnett - Born Wayne Co. on October 7, 1834, died in Bonaparte June 12, 1903 at age 68 years, 8 months, 5 days. She was of a family of 12 children of whom 2 brothers and 2 sisters survive. Moved with her parents from Indiana at age 10 years to Sauk Co., Wisconsin. Her father died in Wisconsin in 1849, her mother in 1879 in Iowa. Married to Thomas Burnett in Sauk Co., WI when 18 years old. Moved to Jackson Co., Iowa, from there to Story Co., Iowa and then to Van Buren Co. in 1839(?). Eight children: Mary E. Palmer of Aledo, IL; Alexander of Shelbyville, MO; Melissa died at age 2 years; Robert Grant U.; Thomas O.; and Zach V. of Bonaparte. There are 12 living grandchildren, one great grandchild. Her husband died October 11, 1887.
